The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “They lead in you in prayer, and if they do right, it is for you and for them, and if they do wrong, it is for you and against them.".
It must be clear here that we have no hesitation in praying behind our Imam. This section is only to facilitate the rulings on certain variations in the performance of the prayer.

Shortened Qunut:
"allaahumma-ghfir lee yaa ghafoor allahumma salli 'ala sayyidina muhammad wa 'alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallam"
The above fulfilled the 3 requirements for the Fajr Qunut.
So as not to cause fitnah when you are praying with Muslims from other schools , there is no need to raise your hands , nor perform the Sujud Sahwi (prostration of forgetfullness) if you omit the Qunut.
