Iktidal (Standing up from Ruku)

The following is recited as you stand up from the bowing position

Sami'allahu liman hamidah.

,"Allah hears whoever praises Him,"

Lift hands as shown while reciting the above.

Woman to lift hands not exceeding shoulder level - as in takbiratul ihram.

Iktidal After Bowing

Standing Before Sujud ( or Qunut at Fajr )

Recites while standing with arms on sides prior to prostrating.

Rabbana lakalhamdu.

Allah, For you all praises.

The longer version:

* Rabbana lakalhamdu mil assamawati wamil al ardhi wamil a'maasyita min syai i'nba'du.

("Our Lord, all praise is Yours, heavenful, earthful, and whatever-else-You-will-full.").

Do not prolong standing position (I'tidal) after Ruku longer than the duration of saying the Fatiha in Qiyam; except in the last rakaat. Same apply to sitting in between the two prostrations.

Continue to prostration while saying allahu akbar
